Job Description

Responsibilities

Role Overview

The Manager, Industry Development & Internationalisation will help advance the organisation’s priorities across industry engagement, public policy and international growth. The role works closely with business leaders, industry networks, public-sector stakeholders and overseas partners to identify emerging issues, develop high-impact initiatives and strengthen the organisation’s position as a trusted contributor to Singapore’s business ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Industry Development & Engagement

  • Manage and develop sectoral and functional industry networks, strengthening participation, engagement and long-term value for stakeholders.
  • Work with business leaders and public-sector partners to identify industry trends, challenges and opportunities.
  • Translate industry insights into practical initiatives, capability-building programmes, policypriorities and collaborative projects.
  • Support networkleaders in shaping relevant events, dialogues and initiatives that showcaseindustry expertise and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Facilitate cross-sector partnerships and ecosystem-wide initiatives.
  • Track programme performance and outcomes, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities.

Government & Stakeholder Relations

  • Build and manage trusted relationships with ministries, statutory boards, regulators, industry bodies and business leaders.
  • Serve as an effective bridge between the business community and public-sector stakeholders, ensuring industry perspectives are accurately represented in policy discussions.
  • Represent the organisation in consultations, working groups, taskforces and industry dialogues.
  • Identify opportunities for strategic collaboration with public and private-sector partners.

Policy Advocacy & Thought Leadership

  • Monitor developments in trade, taxation, sustainability, digitalisation, workforce and industry transformation, and provide timely briefings to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop position papers, consultation responses, policy submissions, briefing notes and advocacy materials in partnership with senior leadership and industry stakeholders.
  • Gather and analyse qualitative and quantitative insights to support evidence-based recommendations.
  • Contribute to thought-leadership content and initiatives that strengthen the organisation’s credibility in government–industry dialogue.

Internationalisation & Partnerships

  • Develop and execute internationalisation initiatives, including trade missions, market-access programmes, strategic partnerships and cross-border collaborations.
  • Build relationships with overseas business organisations, diplomatic missions, government agencies and industry partners.
  • Identify commercially sustainable programmes and partnership opportunities that support organisational growth.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound business delegations, corporate visits and international engagements.
  • Support the development and implementation of partnership agreements and memoranda o funderstanding.

Other Responsibilities

  • Undertake other responsibilities and strategic projects assigned by the director or senior leadership.

Candidate Profile

  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in government relations, public policy, industry development, stakeholder engagement, international business or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Singapore’s business and public-policy environment, with an established network across government, industry and business organisations.
  • Demonstrated success in advocacy, partnership development, programme design and stakeholder management.
  • Experience managing industry networks, advisory groups, councils or multi-stakeholder platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare policy papers, executive briefs and persuasive proposals.
  • Confident in engaging senior executives, government officials and international partners.
  • Analytical, forward-looking and commercially astute, with strong project management and execution skills.
  • Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively across teams
