Responsibilities

• Operational Execution: Oversees daily procurement operations, including purchase requisitions, approval processes, and workflow management to ensure efficient and compliant execution.
• Tactical Sourcing: Conducts supplier identification and evaluation, manages competitive bidding processes, and leads routine contract negotiations to secure optimal commercial outcomes.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partners closely with key stakeholders across Finance, Production, Planning, Logistics, and Legal functions to address procurement-related matters and support business objectives.
• Performance Management: Monitors supplier performance through delivery and service metrics, oversees inventory optimization, and tracks procurement cost-saving initiatives against established targets.
• Strategic Leadership: Develops and implements short- to mid-term category strategies, total cost of ownership (TCO) models, and sourcing frameworks to enhance value creation and supply continuity.
• Governance and Compliance: Ensures adherence to corporate compliance requirements, risk management policies, and audit controls across multiple sites and regions.
• Complex Negotiations: Leads high-value, enterprise-wide contract negotiations with strategic global partners to achieve favorable commercial and operational outcomes.
• Digital Transformation: Champions the implementation and adoption of advanced digital procurement solutions, automation platforms, and data-driven analytics to improve operational effectiveness.
• Functional Leadership: Provides leadership and direction to buyers, procurement analysts, and operations managers, ensuring effective execution of day-to-day activities and accountability for critical procurement responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
• Typically more than 8 years management experienced in procurement/supply chain management
• Strong and proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (like SAP or Oracle) and specialized procurement platforms (like Ariba).
• Proficiency in analysing market trends, supplier performance, and cost analysis is crucial for making informed decisions.
• Clear communication with suppliers, team members, and internal stakeholders is essential
• The ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers to secure the best deals is fundamental.
