Job Summary
Manage engineering projects from award through installation, commissioning, and final handover, ensuring timely completion, quality standards, and stakeholder satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Lead engineering projects by planning, scheduling, and allocating resources to meet project milestones and deadlines.
Coordinate with customers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to facilitate seamless project execution throughout the project lifecycle.
Supervise site installation, construction, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with technical and safety standards.
Monitor project progress, control costs, and manage variations by proactively resolving technical and operational issues.
Review and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, method statements, and project documentation to guide project activities.
Manage procurement, equipment fabrication, delivery, installation, and commissioning schedules to align with project timelines.
Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project delivery.
Ensure all project activities adhere to safety regulations, quality standards, permit-to-work (PTW) requirements, and company procedures.
Lead and coordinate engineers, supervisors, technicians, subcontractors, and site personnel to maintain smooth project operations.
Conduct project meetings with customers, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to communicate progress and address issues.
Prepare and maintain accurate project progress reports, cost updates, schedules, management reports, and documentation.
Build and sustain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
5–7 years of experience in project engineering, project coordination, construction, installation, or commissioning.
Experience in site installation and commissioning.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation.
Willingness to travel to project sites and work outside normal hours, including weekends and public holidays, when required.
