Role Description The Senior Product Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Bayan Lepas, responsible for driving the development, optimization, and lifecycle management of test and measurement products. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, validate designs, and ensure manufacturability, quality, and reliability. Daily activities include analyzing product performance data, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and implementing design or process improvements to support high-volume production. The Senior Product Engineer partners closely with R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams to support new product introductions, continuous improvement initiatives, and customer feedback resolution. The role also includes preparing technical documentation, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to strategic product roadmaps aligned with NI’s innovation goals.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Product Engineering skills, including experience with product lifecycle management, test and measurement systems, and manufacturing support.
• Candidates should possess skills to understand design validation, and continuous enhancement of existing products. Should be able to handle multiple product sustaining with maintaining yield targets.
• Candidates should possess Analytical Skills to interpret test data, identify root causes, and drive data-informed decisions for product quality and performance.
• Candidates should possess Communication skills to collaborate effectively across engineering, manufacturing, and customer-facing teams, and to create clear technical documentation.
• Beneficial qualifications include a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or related engineering field; experience with automated test systems; familiarity with NI/Emerson tools and platforms; and knowledge of quality and reliability engineering practices.
• Additional skills include problem-solving, project management, and a track record of working in high-tech or semiconductor manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge in RF theory, debugging and applications is a plus.
• PowerBI and automation skills are added advantage.
• Attention to detail and self-starter.
• Candidate with minimum 4-8 years experience in Product Engineering.
