CommonTown is looking for a commercially driven Senior Sales Executive to accelerate the growth of our education technology solutions across Singapore.
This is a hunter-oriented, individual contributor role for someone who enjoys opening doors, understanding customer challenges and turning conversations into long-term partnerships.
You will own the full sales cycle — from prospecting and discovery to product demonstrations, proposals, negotiation and closing — while building trusted relationships with schools and education stakeholders.
What You’ll Do
Drive New Business Growth
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of new opportunities across Singapore’s K–12 education sector, including MOE schools, private schools, international schools and other education organisations.
- Proactively generate leads through outbound prospecting, cold calling, referrals, networking, events and targeted account development.
- Identify key decision-makers and influencers within target schools and develop effective engagement strategies.
- Own the complete sales cycle from initial contact and qualification through proposal, negotiation and closure.
- Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
Sell Solutions, Not Just Products
- Conduct structured discovery conversations to understand customers’ teaching, learning, technology and operational needs.
- Deliver engaging product demonstrations and presentations to educators, school leaders, ICT teams and other stakeholders.
- Translate product capabilities into clear educational and business value.
- Guide prospects through pilots, trials and proof-of-concepts towards commercial adoption.
Build the K–12 Market
- Develop a strong understanding of Singapore’s education ecosystem, school purchasing processes and emerging technology trends.
- Build long-term relationships with school leaders, educators, curriculum teams and ICT stakeholders.
- Represent CommonTown at education conferences, exhibitions, networking sessions and industry events.
- Gather market intelligence on customer needs, competitor offerings, pricing and emerging EdTech trends.
Own Your Pipeline
- Maintain accurate and timely records of customer activities, opportunities and next actions in the CRM.
- Manage opportunities according to clearly defined sales stages and qualification criteria.
- Maintain sufficient pipeline coverage to achieve revenue targets.
- Provide accurate weekly and monthly sales forecasts.
- Track prospecting activity, discovery meetings, demonstrations, proposals, conversion rates and closed business.
- Maintain strong CRM discipline so that pipeline health and deal progression are always visible.
What Success Looks Like
- Build a healthy and predictable pipeline of qualified opportunities.
- Consistently achieve agreed sales and new-customer acquisition targets.
- Generate regular discovery meetings and product demonstrations with target schools.
- Convert prospects, pilots and trials into paying customers.
- Develop strong relationships with school leaders and key education stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and reliable sales forecasts.
- Develop strong knowledge of CommonTown’s products, competitors and the Singapore K–12 EdTech market.
Who You Are
- A Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing, Education, Information Technology or a related discipline.
- Approximately 3–5 years of relevant B2B sales, business development or account management experience in education industry.
- Proven sales hunter with a track record of closing
- Experience managing a complete sales cycle from prospecting through negotiation and closure.
- Strong prospecting, presentation, product demonstration and negotiation skills.
