Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Application Project Manager to lead and manage end-to-end technology and application projects within the banking/financial services environment. The role will be responsible for project planning, stakeholder management, application delivery, risk management, and ensuring projects are delivered within agreed scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end IT application projects from initiation, planning, execution, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, timelines, resources, and budgets.
• Work closely with business users, application teams, infrastructure teams, vendors, architects, developers, testers, and senior management.
• Gather and analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into project deliverables.
• Coordinate application development, enhancement, integration, migration, upgrade, and implementation projects.
• Manage project schedules, dependencies, resources, issues, risks, and change requests.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular project status reports, dashboards, and management updates.
• Coordinate SIT, UAT, performance testing, security testing, regression testing, and production implementation activities.
• Ensure application solutions comply with banking, security, risk, audit, governance, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage relationships with third-party vendors, technology partners, and system integrators.
• Facilitate project meetings, steering committees, workshops, and stakeholder discussions.
• Identify project risks and develop appropriate mitigation and contingency plans.
• Manage production deployment, cutover, go-live, and post-implementation activities.
• Ensure proper project documentation, including project plans, RAID logs, requirements, test plans, deployment plans, and project closure documents.
• Coordinate with IT operations and application support teams to ensure smooth transition to BAU.
• Ensure adherence to the organisation's IT project management methodology, SDLC, change management, and governance processes.
• Support continuous improvement and digital transformation initiatives within the banking environment.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business IT, or a related discipline.
• Typically 5+ years of IT project management experience, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Strong experience managing application development, implementation, integration, enhancement, or migration projects.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and software/application delivery methodologies.
• Experience managing SIT, UAT, deployment, cutover, and production implementation.
• Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills.
• Good understanding of project governance, risk management, change management, and IT controls.
• Strong communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional technology and business teams.
