Responsibilities

Authority: Umar Pulavar Tamil Language Centre (UPTLC) / HQ – Curriculum Planning and Development Division
Location: 2 Beatty Road, Singapore 209954
Employment Type: Full-Time Contract
Contract Period: 1 Jan 2027 – 31 Dec 2027

Working Hours

  • Monday–Friday: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Inclusive of 1-hour lunch break
  • Generally no service required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays.
  • Occasional Saturday work may be required and will be compensated with time-off.

Job Summary

The ICT Support Executive will support the ICT Department in day-to-day IT operations, end-user support, infrastructure and device management, user administration, AV and video conferencing, website maintenance, ICT procurement, asset management and technical project coordination.

Key Responsibilities

User & Technical Support

  • Manage user administration including account creation, password resets and Active Directory management.
  • Manage and monitor printers, servers, Outlook, school websites and portals, VPN, Wi-Fi and mobile devices.
  • Configure, install and maintain end-user hardware and software.
  • Provide software installation and configuration support.
  • Maintain PCs, laptops, mobile devices, IP phone systems, printers and peripherals.
  • Provide timely diagnosis, technical advice and problem resolution to end users.
  • Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions and user interactions through appropriate ticketing systems or knowledge bases.
  • Review and manage technical escalations involving complex incidents and scenarios.
  • Act as a technical focal point for IT Shared Services, Service Owners and end users.

Video Conferencing & Event Support

  • Facilitate video conferences and webinars using platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet and Skype.
  • Support hosts, panelists, trainers and participants during large-scale meetings, conferences, special events and workshops.
  • Provide AV and technical support for departmental events and activities.

ICT Assets & Inventory

  • Manage departmental ICT assets and inventory documentation.
  • Maintain IT records, including software licences.
  • Manage loaning and distribution of IT equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of ICT equipment and assigned areas of responsibility.

ICT Projects & Vendor Management

  • Assist with departmental and organisational ICT projects.
  • Liaise with ICT vendors and support vendor management activities.
  • Work closely with technical teams to provide appropriate technical solutions.
  • Support ICT project management and contract-related activities where required.

ICT Procurement & Budget

  • Support the purchasing of ICT equipment and services according to organisational requirements.
  • Handle procurement through GeBIZ, bulk tenders, tenders and quotations.
  • Assist in evaluating ICT project expenditure and budget utilisation.

Website Management

  • Create new website landing pages.
  • Maintain and update website content.
  • Monitor and optimise website performance.

Videography & Photography

  • Set up photography and videography equipment for events.
  • Plan camera angles, lighting and composition.
  • Capture video, sound and images for events and activities.
  • Cover small and large events such as annual ceremonies, project launches, prize presentations and graduations.
  • Perform advanced post-production and video editing using various video editing software.

Training & User Guidance

  • Provide end-user training and guidance to colleagues.
  • Empower users with relevant ICT skills and knowledge.
  • Provide technical consultation and advice on end-user devices.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma in ICT with at least 5 years of relevant ICT experience.
  • At least 5 years of working experience in MOE Singapore schools is preferred.
  • Good technical knowledge of end-user devices, hardware and software.
  • Broad IT experience covering:NetworksServersAudio/VisualSmart devicesTelecommunicationsEnd-user computing
  • Experience with Active Directory, VPN, Wi-Fi, printers, servers and mobile devices.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Office/Outlook and school websites/portals.
  • Experience with video conferencing and webinar platforms.
  • Experience with ICT vendor management and project coordination is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, planning, analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Able to multitask and work independently as well as within a team.
