About Our Client:

Our client is seeking an experienced Data Center Cabling Infrastructure Engineer to manage, coordinate, and oversee structured cabling initiatives for both new and existing data center environments. This role is responsible for end-to-end cabling design, tender preparation, project management, vendor oversight, and maintaining strict alignment with global EDC infrastructure standards.


  • 12 month contract (renewable)
  • 100% in-site Mon-Fri
  • Must be SG Citizen / PR


The Role:

  • Manage cabling design and coordination across data center locations, ensuring strict adherence to global EDC Infrastructure Cabling Engineering standards and guidelines.  
  • Assist with tender preparation, drafting technical specifications, scoping deliverables, and supporting vendor evaluation and selection processes.  
  • Drive project lifecycle execution, including budget tracking, vendor management, design and shop drawing reviews, scheduling, logistics, commissioning, and final handover.  
  • Partner with internal technology stakeholders (networking, server, and security teams) to consolidate infrastructure requirements and support ongoing Move, Add, Change (MAC) operations.  
  • Maintain precise cabling records, patching documentation, and as-built drawings; consolidate operational manuals for smooth close-outs. 
  • Provide oversight and coordination for vendor installations, testing, or handovers during or outside normal business hours as required by project schedules.  


The Person:

  • Demonstrated ability to produce, review, and mark up technical design documentation and shop drawings using AutoCAD.
  • In-depth knowledge of structured data center copper and fiber solutions, including Cat6A copper, OS2 single-mode, and OM4+ multi-mode fiber, high-density fiber cassette solutions, and enterprise rack/cabinet patching systems.
  • Strong familiarity with industry-standard cabling testing methodologies and applicable ISO/TIA testing standards, including hands-on experience operating cable analyzers such as the Fluke Network Instruments DSX-5000 or DSX-8000.
  • Experience leading tender documentation preparation, defining scopes of work, evaluating vendor proposals, and coordinating third-party contractors through project delivery and handover.
  • Experience working inside live, mission-critical, or regulated data center environments while adhering to strict operational and safety constraints.


Certifications & Networking Knowledge (Preferred):


  • RCDD certification (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with enterprise networking platforms and active equipment (e.g., Cisco, Arista).
