Job Description

Responsibilities

We are looking for a hands-on and commercially driven Procurement Manager to lead our procurement and strategic sourcing function. This role will be responsible for strategic sourcing, supplier management, commercial negotiations, cost optimization and procurement execution across the business.

The ideal candidate will be a strong procurement leader who can build strategic supplier relationships, negotiate competitive commercial terms, drive measurable cost savings and ensure the right products and materials are secured at the right quality, price and time.

Strategic Procurement & Sourcing

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business and growth objectives.

  • Lead sourcing activities for furniture, interior products, building materials, home décor, lighting, soft furnishing and other related products.

  • Identify, evaluate and develop new local and overseas suppliers.

  • Build and maintain a reliable and competitive supplier network.

  • Conduct market research, price benchmarking and supplier evaluation.

Supplier Management & Negotiation

  • Lead commercial negotiations covering pricing, payment terms, credit facilities, rebates, discounts, MOQ, lead time, warranty and delivery terms.

  • Develop long-term strategic partnerships with key suppliers.

  • Monitor supplier performance in terms of price, quality, delivery and service.

  • Resolve supplier issues and develop alternative sources to minimize supply risks.

Cost Optimization & Profitability

  • Drive procurement cost savings and cost avoidance across the business.

  • Identify opportunities for bulk purchasing, volume discounts and better commercial arrangements.

  • Review and analyses supplier quotations and cost structures.

  • Work closely with Finance and Management to improve gross margins and overall business profitability.

  • Ensure purchasing decisions balance cost, quality, availability and delivery requirements.

Project, Retail & Branch Procurement

  • Support procurement requirements for B2B & B2C projects, retail operations, showrooms and new branches.

  • Work closely with Project, Sales, Retail and Operations teams to understand product, material and service requirements.

  • Ensure timely procurement and delivery according to project and operational schedules.

  • Support sourcing for new products and business expansion initiatives.

Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination

  • Work closely with Warehouse, Operations, Sales and Finance to maintain appropriate inventory levels.

  • Monitor stock availability, replenishment requirements and supplier lead times.

  • Minimize stock-outs, overstocking and obsolete inventory.

  • Identify potential supply chain risks and implement appropriate mitigation plans.

Procurement Operations & Governance

  • Oversee the end-to-end purchasing cycle from sourcing and quotation to purchase order, delivery and invoice verification.

  • Ensure procurement activities comply with Company policies, approval processes and internal controls.

  • Monitor procurement spending, outstanding orders and supplier commitments.

  • Prepare regular procurement reports and provide management with insights and recommendations.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant procurement / purchasing experience, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial or leadership role.

  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management and commercial negotiation.

  • Strong track record in cost savings, cost optimization and supplier development.

  • Experience in interior, furniture, building materials, construction, retail, property or related industries will be an advantage.

  • Strong understanding of procurement, inventory and supply chain processes.

  • Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Commercially minded with strong business acumen.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Able to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment and manage multiple priorities.

  • Willing to work beyond normal working hours, including weekends and public holidays when required by business needs.
