Yankey Engineering (Malaysia) Hiring! Full Time Site Safety Engineer in Pulau Pinang - Ricebowl

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify and address potential safety hazards.

• Developing, implementing and maintaining comprehensive safety management systems and procedures.

• Providing safety training and conducting toolbox talks to educate site personnel on safety best practices.

• Investigating and reporting on any incidents or accidents, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

• Ensuring the site complies with all relevant health and safety regulations and industry standards.

• Collaborating with project managers, supervisors and other stakeholders to promote a culture of safety.

• Maintaining detailed records and documentation related to site safety activities and performance.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering or a related field.

• Preferred 3-5 years of experience as a Site Safety Engineer or in a similar role in the construction industry.

• Proven track record of implementing effective safety management systems and successfully driving safety initiatives.

• Strong knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations, such as the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA).

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of the organization.

• Yellow and Green Book holder preferred.

• Proficient in problem-solving, risk analysis and decision-making.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Candidates fluent in Mandarin and English (Verbal and Writing) preferred. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

• Willing to short and long term domestics and oversea travel.
