Job Description

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end processing of mandatory and voluntary corporate action events.
  • Process events including dividends, interest payments, rights issues, bonus issues, stock splits, mergers, acquisitions, tender offers, redemptions, and other securities events.
  • Review and interpret corporate action announcements and event notifications received from custodians, depositories, agents, and other relevant sources.
  • Validate event details, key dates, entitlements, positions, elections, and payment information before processing.
  • Calculate and reconcile cash and securities entitlements to ensure accurate allocation to client accounts.
  • Monitor voluntary event deadlines and ensure client elections and instructions are captured and submitted within required cut-off times.
  • Investigate and resolve corporate action breaks, discrepancies, exceptions, and outstanding items.
  • Liaise with custodians, counterparties, agents, and internal stakeholders regarding event details and operational issues.
  • Work closely with Settlements, Reconciliation, Client Services, Middle Office, Operations, and other relevant teams.
  • Ensure accurate and timely booking of corporate action proceeds and securities movements.
  • Monitor pending events and ensure completion within agreed SLAs and operational deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate records, supporting documentation, and complete audit trails for processed events.
  • Escalate complex, high-risk, or unresolved corporate action issues according to established procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to internal risk controls, SOPs, regulatory requirements, and governance standards.
  • Support operational reporting and provide updates on outstanding events, exceptions, and processing risks.
  • Participate in system enhancements, automation, process improvement, migrations, and UAT/testinginitiatives where required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Corporate Actions, Securities Operations, Custody Operations, Asset Servicing, or related post-trade operations.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of mandatory and voluntary corporate action events.
  • Good understanding of the securities trade lifecycle, custody, settlements, and post-trade operations.
  • Experience processing dividends, interest, redemptions, rights issues, stock splits, mergers, tender offers, and other corporate events.
  • Experience handling entitlement calculations, elections, reconciliation, exception management, and event deadlines.
  • Experience working with custodians, depositories, counterparties, clients, and internal operations teams.
  • Strong understanding of operational risk, controls, reconciliation, and audit requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage high transaction volumes and multiple event deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with corporate actions, custody, securities-processing, or financial markets systems would be advantageous.
