Job Description

Responsibilities

We are partnering with a leading contractor to appoint a Planning Director based in Singapore. This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing planning strategy, governance, and delivery across a portfolio of large-scale projects, while managing corporate and group-level master schedules.


The successful candidate will already be operating in a planning leadership capacity within Singapore and have a proven track record delivering sizeable, complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning function across multiple large-scale developments and corporate initiatives.
  • Develop, maintain, and govern integrated master schedules at project, business unit, and group level.
  • Establish planning standards, processes, and reporting frameworks across the organisation.
  • Provide strategic oversight of programme performance, critical path analysis, risk identification, and recovery planning.
  • Partner with executive leadership, project directors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment of programme milestones and business objectives.
  • Oversee resource planning, sequencing, and schedule integration across concurrent projects.
  • Drive schedule assurance, forecasting, and portfolio reporting for senior management and board-level reviews.
  • Mentor and lead a team of planning managers and project planners, building capability across the planning function.


Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • 15+ years of planning experience within the built environment, with significant experience on large, complex projects in Singapore.
  • Currently in a planning leadership role (Planning Director, Head of Planning, Senior Planning Manager, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience managing corporate or portfolio-level master programmes across multiple projects.
  • Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling methodologies, and programme governance.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and other project planning/reporting tools.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience presenting programme updates to executive leadership.
