Job Description

• Assist the HOD in overseeing the overall finance and accounting functions of the company.
• Prepare monthly and yearly management accounts, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Review bank reconciliations, AP, AR, General Ledger and journal entries.
• Monitor cash flow, collections, payments and working capital.
• Key contact person for external auditors, tax agents, company secretary, banks and regulatory authorities.
• Lead the audit, tax, e-Invoice, SST and statutory compliance matters.
• Oversee and support the Accounts Executives and Accounts Assistants in their daily accounting duties.
• Other ad-hoc task as assigned by the HOD.

Requirements

• Degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting/finance experience, preferably with experience handling a full set of accounts.
• Good knowledge of financial reporting, month-end closing and accounting principles.
• Familiar with Malaysian tax, SST, e-Invoice and statutory compliance requirements.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with SQL Accounting, AutoCount or other accounting/ERP systems is an advantage.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Able to supervise junior finance staff and review their work.
• Able to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet reporting deadlines.
