Role Description The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and implementing electrical systems for building and data centre projects in Elmina City. Day-to-day tasks include preparing electrical drawings and specifications, performing load calculations, coordinating with MEP and civil teams, and supporting site inspections to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements. The role also involves assisting in testing and commissioning activities, troubleshooting electrical issues, and preparing technical reports and documentation. The engineer will collaborate with project managers and contractors to maintain schedules, address design changes, and support smooth project delivery. This is a contract, on-site role based in Elmina City.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, including power distribution, lighting, earthing, and protection systems.
• Experience with MEP coordination, especially integration of electrical systems with mechanical and plumbing services.
• Proficiency in design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar BIM software) and ability to read and produce technical drawings.
• Knowledge of relevant electrical and building codes, safety standards, and best practices for data centres or mission-critical facilities.
• Ability to support testing and commissioning of electrical systems, including functional testing, documentation, and issue resolution.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical report-writing skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, able to collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams and site stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field; professional registration or working toward it is an advantage.
• Prior experience in construction, building services, or data centre projects is highly beneficial.
• Willingness to work on-site in Elmina City and adapt to project timelines and priorities.
