• Re-architecting SIEM / XDR / SOAR estates onto unified security data platforms, and re-aligning security operations with business risk.
• This is a hands-on architecture role, not a purely advisory one
• Assess the client’s current SOC estate (SIEM, XDR, EDR, SOAR, log sources, use cases, people and process) and produce a prioritised modernisation roadmap.
• Redesign and consolidate legacy SIEM, XDR and SOAR infrastructure into unified, cloud-native security data platforms.
• SIEM at architect level: Hands-on, design-level proficiency with at least one modern cloud-native SIEM — Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk Enterprise Security, Google SecOps (Chronicle), IBM QRadar, Elastic Security or equivalent. The CV must show design, migration or consolidation work, not only rule-writing or monitoring.
• XDR: Practical experience with a modern XDR / EDR ecosystem — Microsoft Defender XDR, CrowdStrike Falcon, SentinelOne, Cortex XDR or equivalent — including integration into the SIEM.
• SOAR & automation: Demonstrable delivery of automated playbooks / SOAR workflows (Sentinel Playbooks + Logic Apps, Splunk SOAR, Cortex XSOAR, Tines, Torq or similar) with measurable reduction in manual triage.
• Detection engineering depth: Able to write and optimise detection logic first-hand — KQL, SPL, Sigma or equivalent query language — and to map coverage to MITRE ATT&CK.
• Transformation track record: At least one end-to-end SOC modernisation, SIEM migration / consolidation or SOC build-out delivered

Pay: RM15,000.00 - RM17,000.00 per month
