Business-Facing Front Office Developer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Business-Facing Front Office Developer to join a leading global trading organisation in Singapore. This role works closely with front-office stakeholders, including traders and analysts, and offers the opportunity to design, develop, and deliver scalable technology solutions in a fast-paced trading environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner directly with traders, commercial teams, and operational stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain trading, analytics, and workflow applications across the front-office technology landscape.
• Build scalable and high-performance applications using modern development frameworks and cloud technologies.
• Develop and maintain APIs, real-time data services, and integrations supporting trading and risk platforms.
• Deliver projects end-to-end, from requirements gathering and solution design through development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Enhance existing trading systems while contributing to the build-out of next-generation platforms.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience in C#, .Net, .Net Core, ASP.NET Core, Web APIs and RESTful services.
• Experience in React, TypeScript, modern JavaScript frameworks and UI development practices.
• Solid understanding of Data & databases, such as SQL, RDBMS, Oracle, PostgreSQL.
• Worked on Python development for analytics, automation and familiar with event driven & microservices architectures.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization technologies and modern DevOps practices.
• Proven experience supporting and building trading/business-critical platforms.

Required Business Skills (MUST)

• Experience working directly and interacting with front-office traders within financial services, commodities trading, capital markets or energy trading environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to engage confidently with both technical and non-technical business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a business-focused mindset.
