Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day food service operations to ensure meals meet required nutritional, quality and statutory standards.
• Supervise meal preparation and distribution.
• Conduct regular checks on the quality and quantity of cooked and uncooked food.
• Assist with daily food preparation and cooking according to menu requirements and portion standards.
• Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, cutting and slicing.
• Assist kitchen staff with unloading and storing food supplies.
• Maintain proper food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen safety in accordance with established procedures.
• Assist with meal portioning, serving and general kitchen operations.
• Wash and properly store dishes, utensils, cooking equipment and cutting boards.
• Store ingredients and food items according to food safety standards.
• Remove garbage, replace garbage bags and maintain clean garbage bins.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Certificate in Food Hygiene Audit.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation, hygiene and kitchen safety.
• Able to follow food safety procedures and maintain cleanliness standards.
• Able to work well as part of a kitchen team.
