Responsibilities
The Section Head oversees the daily operations of the manufacturing section, ensuring efficient production, quality control, and adherence to safety standards. This role involves managing a team, optimizing processes, and collaborating with various departments to meet production goals and improve overall efficiency.
Role and Responsibilities
Leadership and Management:
Supervise and lead the manufacturing team, including training, performance evaluations, and development.
Foster a positive and productive work environment, encouraging teamwork and continuous improvement.
Production Oversight:
Oversee the production process, ensuring it runs smoothly, efficiently, and meets quality standards.
Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and company targets.
Monitor production metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), addressing any issues promptly.
Quality Control:
Ensure all products meet quality specifications and standards.
Implement and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs.
Collaborate with engineering and other departments to optimize manufacturing processes and workflows.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Conduct safety training and regular safety audits to maintain a safe working environment.
Investigate and resolve any safety incidents or near-misses.
Resource Management:
Manage the allocation and utilization of resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel.
Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and supplies.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control standards, and safety regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
