Job Summary
The Accounts Assistant is responsible for supporting the finance department in daily accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, processing payments, preparing invoices, and assisting with month-end closing activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and credit notes.
- Record daily financial transactions into the accounting system.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Process supplier invoices and staff claims.
- Follow up on customer payments and outstanding balances.
- Perform bank reconciliations and update cash book records.
- Maintain proper filing of accounting documents and records.
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and schedules.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, auditors, banks, and internal departments when needed.
- Ensure all accounting records are accurate and updated.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Accountant or Finance Manager.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Able to meet deadlines and handle confidential information.
- Local candidates are preferred.
- Candidates who can join immediately or within short notice will be given priority.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with accounting systems such as SAP.
- Knowledge of SST, payroll, or basic tax matters is an advantage.
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
