Job Description

Responsibilities

1. Lead the planning, design, review, and implementation of electrical systems for building projects, including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and associated infrastructure.

2. Manage and oversee major electrical projects from concept through design, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover, ensuring delivery within budget and schedule.

3. Review and approve technical specifications, engineering drawings, method statements, and project documentation to ensure compliance with applicable standards and operational requirements.

4. Provide technical leadership and expert advice on complex electrical engineering matters, feasibility studies, system upgrades, and asset lifecycle planning.

5. Lead, supervise, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, technicians, and contractors, ensuring high performance and adherence to organizational objectives.

6. Coordinate and liaise with consultants, authorities, utility providers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and regulatory compliance.

7. Ensure all electrical systems comply with local regulations, engineering codes, safety standards, and statutory requirements.

8. Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to maximize system reliability, minimize downtime, and optimize asset performance.

9. Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for major electrical faults or operational incidents and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.

10. Monitor project costs, maintenance budgets, resource allocation, and contractor performance to achieve operational and financial targets.

11. Drive initiatives related to energy efficiency, system optimization, sustainability, and continuous improvement of electrical infrastructure.

12. Prepare and present technical reports, management updates, risk assessments, performance analyses, and compliance documentation to senior management.

13. Support emergency response activities and provide technical leadership during critical electrical incidents or business continuity events.

14. Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent recognized qualification.

· Professional Engineer (PE) registration or equivalent certification will be an added advantage.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
