Job Title: IT Asset Management Officer

Job Purpose

You will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of IT hardware assets. You will maintain real-time inventory accuracy in the ServiceNow CMDB and manage physical stock operations within the IT store.

Key Responsibilities

• ServiceNow & Inventory Data Management
  • Update the IT assets in ServiceNow CMDB when equipment is received, assigned, or retired.
  • Ensure absolute data accuracy in the ServiceNow CMDB for all laptops, monitors, accessories, and peripherals.
  • Monitor the ServiceNow ticketing system queue to process and fulfil staff hardware requests efficiently.
• IT Store & Logistics Operations
  • Receive new IT equipment, verify vendor deliveries against purchase orders, and securely organize them in the IT store.
  • Physically tag all new hardware and map asset barcodes/RFID.
  • Manage provisioning of assets to users, preparing and deploying equipment for incoming staff based on ServiceNow tickets.
  • Collect returned hardware from departing employees, updating status changes in the system.
  • Ensure asset provision and deprovision forms are collected from users to maintain a proper assets register.
• Lifecycle Management & Governance
  • Identify, report and correct data gaps between the physical store inventory and ServiceNow CMDB records.
  • Execute regular wall to wall physical stock counts and audit schedules to match the assets in the CMDB database.
  • Route broken or obsolete hardware through authorized retirement and environmentally safe disposal, closing out records in ServiceNow CMDB.
  • Establish controls to prevent unauthorized asset usage, loss, or theft.
• ServiceNow & Inventory Data Management
• Import IT asset records into ServiceNow and perform validation checks to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with asset management standards.

Requirements and Skills

• 3+ years of experience in IT asset tracking, IT store administration and IT end user computing desktop support.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow system, specifically using IT assets handling, ticket handling, and updating configuration items.
• Strong understanding of the full lifecycle of IT assets, including procurement, allocation, transfer, maintenance, inventory verification, and disposal.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel, Marcos, VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
• Good to have Power Automate and/or Power BI experience.
• Good communication, eager to learn, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
