Responsibilities
1. Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced RF Unit Repair Engineer to support the repair, troubleshooting, testing, refurbishment, and maintenance of RF-related semiconductor equipment components.
The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing electrical and RF-related failures, carrying out component-level repairs, performing functional and performance testing, and preparing repair reports in accordance with established quality and customer requirements.
Experience with RF Generators, RF Matchers, RPS (Remote Plasma Source), RF Power Supplies, Applicators, and related semiconductor equipment will be highly advantageous.
2. Key ResponsibilitiesRF Unit Repair & Troubleshooting
- Perform diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, refurbishment, and testing of RF units and related equipment.
- Repair RF Generators, RF Matchers, RPS units, RF Applicators, and associated modules.
- Perform component-level troubleshooting including:
- Capacitors
- Resistors
- Inductors / coils
- Relays and switches
- Transformers
- RF power devices
- Control boards and PCBs
- Sensors and feedback circuits
- Connectors and cables
- Identify root causes of electrical, RF, mechanical, and functional failures.
- Carry out soldering, desoldering, rework, and PCB/component replacement.
- Perform preventive maintenance and refurbishment activities.
RF Testing & Validation
- Perform electrical and RF performance measurements using test equipment such as:
- Oscilloscope
- Digital multimeter
- LCR meter
- VNA / network analyzer
- RF power meter
- Function generator
- Hi-pot / insulation tester
- Measure and analyze parameters such as:
- Forward power
- Reflected power
- RF voltage/current
- Frequency
- Impedance
- Capacitance
- Inductance
- Resistance
- Resonance characteristics
- Establish and maintain repair acceptance criteria and test limits.
- Compare repaired units against known-good/reference units.
- Perform final functional testing before shipment to customers.
Pay: $2,800.00 - $5,000.00 per month
