Position Summary:

Responsible to keep the Snooker/Billiards Room and surroundings clean, tidy and in good operating condition at all times. Report immediately to your superior if there’s problem. Marker must be obliged to know Snooker/Billiards games, to understand their rules and intricacies and most importantly to love Snooker/Billiards. The marker must know the rules of all Snooker/Billiards games and be fluent in cue to make a lot to customers without a partner. The marker is to provide players with the necessary equipment. A member without a partner can call the marker to the table. Marker in Snooker/Billiards personally supervises the observance of order during the game and is personally responsible for the safety of all property.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and responsibilities include the following and other duties may be assigned from time to time.

• Clean the snooker tables once enter work at 3pm and 7pm after dinner.
• Iron baize on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
• Polish balls on every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
• Mark the score while players are playing.
• Make sure no plates and glasses in the Snooker/Billiards Room before leave work.
• Always make sure the Snooker/Billiards Room is clean.
• Cleaning Trophy Section at Snooker/Billiards Room
• To ensure no smoking at Snooker/Billiards Room
• To ensure glasses with drinks are not permitted on the sides of the table.
• To practice integrity and safety at all times.
• The cues and balls are wiped with special wipes soaked in polish.
• To ensure the shoes of member to be cleaned every day before allowing players to enter the Snooker/Billiards Room to play.

• Polish the brass metal parts of all the cue rests (X, Spider, Elephant, etc) regularly to ensure no blemish stains
• Report in maintenance book on all repairs required in the Snooker/Billiards room and follow up to ensure repairs carried out satisfactorily
• Report to and carry out any other duties and instructions given by immediate superior from Sports Department relating to Snooker/Billiards Section
• Take and adhere to instructions, not contrary the activities of Snooker/Billiards, from the Section Committee members
