We are looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to strengthen and maintain our organisation's security across applications, infrastructure, systems and data.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in cybersecurity, vulnerability management, application security and security monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, assess and mitigate cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and security testing.
• Perform web application and API security assessments.
• Implement and maintain security controls and best practices.
• Monitor security events, logs and potential threats.
• Support incident detection, investigation and response.
• Review authentication, authorization and access-control mechanisms.
• Conduct security reviews of applications, systems and infrastructure.
• Support secure software development and DevSecOps practices.
• Perform security risk assessments and threat modelling.
• Manage vulnerability remediation and security improvements.
• Review third-party tools, services and integrations from a security perspective.
• Maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures and documentation.
• Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities and security technologies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity / information security.
• Strong knowledge of application, network and cloud security.
• Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10 and common web vulnerabilities.
• Hands-on experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing.
• Good understanding of authentication, authorization and access control.
• Experience with security monitoring, logging and incident response.
• Knowledge of encryption, data protection and secure communications.
• Experience with security tools and vulnerability management platforms.
• Good understanding of secure SDLC and DevSecOps.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and communicate security risks clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

• CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, Security+ or equivalent certification.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Experience with API security and web application security.
• Experience with SIEM, SAST, DAST or vulnerability scanning tools.
• Experience in SaaS or technology companies.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001 or other security frameworks.
