We're hiring a Mechanical Design specialist to join our Design Delivery team, developing next-generation data centre designs across regional metros. This role sits at the intersection of engineering excellence and sustainability, shaping designs that meet the highest reliability, efficiency (PUE & WUE), and safety standards for mission-critical infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design of multiple regional data centre projects in parallel, on time and within budget
- Represent the design function in technical interviews with clients and vendors
- Develop tender and construction drawings, draft technical specifications, and conduct technical evaluations
- Review equipment specifications and shop/construction drawings for cross-discipline coordination, code compliance, and maintainability
- Own design quality assurance, from 30%–90% design validation through to construction and inspection sign-off
- Engage proactively with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) to secure smooth regulatory approvals
- Standardize construction methodology, inspection checklists, and material specifications for consistent quality across regions
- Design for next-generation AI workloads and emerging cooling technologies

- Mechanical Professional Engineer (ACMV and Fire Protection), practicing certificate preferred
- Hands-on experience with airflow modeling, heat load calculation, hydraulic calculation, and CFD modeling (hot air re-entrainment, temperature rise simulation, boundary noise, prevailing wind studies)
- Experience designing and selecting make-up water tanks, thermal storage tanks, centralized diesel storage systems, goods/fireman lifts
- Familiarity with cooling technologies: direct & indirect evaporative cooling, closed-circuit heat exchange, dry coolers, magnetic bearing chillers, cold plate liquid cooling, immersion cooling
- Experience with Chiller Plant Operation Systems, sequence of operation, and PLC flow charts
- Energy modeling experience for Green Mark-certified data centres
