About the Team:

The DBA (Database Administrator) team manages all databases of digital banking businesses operating in all regions and helps deliver large-scale applications in the banking and finance sector. The Banking DBA is committed to providing secure, consistent, and reliable database solutions.

Job Description:
  • Responsible for banking database administration and management (capacity planning, installation, backup, recovery, monitoring, security, compliance, optimizations, troubleshooting, etc.)
  • Support the development team for database designing, creating, optimizing, and troubleshooting.
  • Review the existing software architecture and contribute to improving the future architecture for database stability and maximum performance.
  • Define and develop projects that reduce database operational costs and automate regular tasks.
  • Develop and deliver documentation and training courses on database best practices.
  • Research and develop new technologies and approaches for building high-availability and better-performing data persistence systems.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (computer science, information systems, information technology, or a related field).
  • In-depth knowledge of SQL and relational databases, high availability, and performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience in at least one project with one of the following: MySQL/MS SQL Server/Oracle.
  • Proficient in at least one programming language: Python/Java/Golang, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux system operations and Shell scripting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, in critical situations under pressure, as well as in day-to-day operations.
  • Detail-oriented, agile, flexible.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities.
  • Fast learner, willing to learn and work on multiple database techniques.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, able to work both independently and as part of a team.
