The focus of this role

The CRM Specialist will help manage how the business communicates with customers throughout the customer lifecycle.

From maintaining customer data and building audience segments to supporting targeted campaigns and reviewing engagement results, you will work across the operational and analytical sides of CRM.

The role is suited to someone who enjoys working with customer information, marketing platforms and campaign data, and who is interested in improving how businesses communicate with their audiences.

Where you will make an impactCustomer data

  • Maintain and organise customer records within CRM and related marketing systems.
  • Review customer data for accuracy, completeness and consistency.
  • Assist with customer segmentation based on behaviour, demographics, purchase history or campaign activity.
  • Support data-cleaning and database maintenance activities.
  • Help ensure customer information is handled appropriately within established company processes.

Campaigns & journeys

  • Assist with email, lifecycle and customer engagement campaigns.
  • Build and maintain customer communication journeys based on agreed campaign objectives.
  • Set up audience lists, campaign rules and scheduling requirements.
  • Coordinate campaign content and assets with the relevant marketing team members.
  • Test campaign workflows before they are launched.

Automation

  • Support automated communications such as welcome messages, follow-ups, reminders and re-engagement campaigns.
  • Monitor active workflows and identify issues that require attention.
  • Assist with changes to automation rules, audience criteria and campaign timing.
  • Document key workflows and maintain accurate campaign records.

Reporting

  • Track campaign performance and customer engagement metrics.
  • Review indicators such as open rates, click-through rates, conversions and unsubscribe activity.
  • Prepare regular CRM reports and campaign summaries.
  • Identify changes in customer behaviour and highlight potential areas for improvement.

Optimisation

  • Support A/B testing of messaging, audience segments and campaign timing.
  • Review campaign results and suggest practical improvements.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve customer engagement and retention.
  • Keep up with CRM, lifecycle marketing and customer engagement practices.

The experience we're looking for

Required

  • Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Business, Digital Marketing, Information Systems or a related discipline.
  • Around 1–3 years of experience in CRM, lifecycle marketing, email marketing, marketing operations or a similar role.
  • Practical understanding of customer segmentation and digital campaign management.
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets, customer data and performance reports.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Strong attention to detail when working with customer records and campaign settings.
  • Able to organise multiple tasks and follow campaign timelines.

Preferred

  • Experience with CRM or marketing platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Mailchimp, Klaviyo or similar systems.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation and customer journey tools.
  • Basic understanding of analytics or conversion tracking.
  • Experience with A/B testing or campaign optimisation.
  • Exposure to e-commerce, customer retention or lifecycle marketing.

How you will work

CRM work involves both planning and detail.

You may spend part of the week preparing a customer segment, checking campaign data or setting up an automated journey. Other tasks may involve reviewing campaign results, troubleshooting a workflow or working with the marketing team on the next customer communication.

You should be comfortable working carefully with data while still thinking about the customer experience behind it.
