Job Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor container yard allocation to ensure optimum utilization of yard capacity and resources.
• Develop and implement yard stacking strategies for import, export, transshipment, reefer, dangerous goods and special cargo containers.
• Coordinate container placement and movement plans to support vessel operations and minimize operational delays.
• Monitor yard occupancy levels and recommend corrective actions to prevent congestion and operational bottlenecks.
• Analyze yard utilization trends and propose improvements to maximize storage efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure proper segregation and storage of containers in accordance with operational, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with vessel planning personnel to ensure yard readiness for loading and discharge operations.
• Monitor container dwell times and identify opportunities to improve cargo flow and yard turnover.
• Support the execution of yard housekeeping initiatives to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient working environment.
• Coordinate with operations supervisors and equipment controllers to optimize container handling activities and reduce unnecessary re-handling.
• Monitor operational performance indicators related to yard productivity, utilization, and service levels.
• Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly yard planning and performance reports.
• Utilize Terminal Operating System (TOS) tools to manage yard inventory, planning activities, and operational data.
• Participate in operational planning meetings and provide recommendations on yard management strategies.
• Assist in developing and reviewing yard-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Safe Working Procedures (SWPs).
• Support internal and external audit exercises by providing operational records, reports, and compliance-related information.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, system enhancement projects, and operational optimization programs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, operational procedures and regulatory standards related to yard operations.

Education / Professional Qualification

• Degree in any field (preferably in Management) ) with at least 3 years working experience.
• Diploma in any field (preferably in Management) ) with at least 5 years working experience.
• SPM with at least 7 years working experience.

Relevant Experience

• Container terminal operations knowledge is essential.
• Terminal Operating System (TOS) knowledge.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,300.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
