Job Purpose
To execute site-based installation, servicing, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of CEMS, gas, dust, and Oil & Gas–related analyzer systems in a safe, accurate, and disciplined manner.
The Instrument Specialist plays a critical execution role, ensuring site work is completed efficiently, documented properly, and aligned with company standards, regulatory requirements, and operational discipline.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Execution & Technical Support
- Perform installation, servicing, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance works for:
- CEMS analyzers (gas, dust, opacity, tribo, MIR, etc.)
- Gas analyzers (O₂, dewpoint, moisture)
- Oil & Gas–related analyzers and systems (onshore & offshore exposure)
- Follow approved work scope, method statements, and site procedures.
- Support Service Engineers during FAT, SAT, commissioning, and complex troubleshooting.
- Ensure all work is executed safely, accurately, and in compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
2. Daily Site Update & Reporting (Mandatory)
- Post daily site updates for every site visit:
- On the same day, or
- Latest by the following working day
- Daily updates must clearly state:
- Site name
- Work performed
- Issues encountered (if any)
- Job status (completed / ongoing / pending)
- Prepare and submit required reports accurately and on time, including:
- Service Reports
- Calibration Reports
- Site Visit Reports
- Installation / FAT / SAT-related records
- Ensure reports are properly uploaded and submitted according to company procedure.
3. Attendance, Discipline & OT Compliance
- Clock in and clock out daily using Worksy:
- Office work
- Site work
- Travel days
- Attendance records must be accurate and punctual, with no manual correction unless:
- A valid reason is provided, and
- Approval is obtained from the reporting superior.
- Apply OT in Worksy on the same day OT is performed.
- OT approval is subject to:
- Proper attendance
- Daily site update submission
- Completion of required reports
- Failure to comply may result in OT rejection and performance impact.
4. Tools, Equipment & Vehicle Responsibility
- Use company tools, instruments, and vehicles responsibly.
- Participate in toolbox checks and ensure:
- Tools are in good condition
- Equipment is returned, stored, and handled properly
- Maintain cleanliness of:
- Tools
- Workshop area
- Company vehicles
- Report damaged, missing, or malfunctioning equipment immediately.
5. Safety, HSE & Site Readiness
- Comply strictly with all HSE requirements, including:
- PTW
- JSA / JHA
- Toolbox talks
- Maintain valid certifications as required (e.g. CIDB, OGSP, WAH, medical).
- Follow site rules and represent the company professionally at all times.
6. Teamwork & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with:
- Service Engineers
- Project Engineers
- Assistant Project & Service Manager
- Customer Service team
- Follow task assignments and schedules provided.
- Be open to learning new products, systems, and procedures.
- Support junior technicians, interns, or new joiners when assigned.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
