Responsibilities

The Finance Business Partner – Projects is responsible for the financial well-being of a portfolio of healthcare / hospital construction and development projects, with a dedicated focus on a priority healthcare development project through to its operational handover. The role partners closely with project, construction, and operational stakeholders to ensure project costs are monitored and governed, and acts as the finance point of contact managing the expectations of internal and external stakeholders across the project lifecycle. This role offers a growth pathway to a senior regional Finance leadership role.

  5. Intercompany billing and backcharges administration
  6. Financial reporting to CFO and project leadership



Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and track project costs and budgets across assigned hospital construction/development projects, flagging financial risks and variances in a timely manner.
  • Partner with project directors, construction teams, doctors, and operations to align on financial expectations and decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide dedicated financial partnering support to a priority hospital development project, including cost governance and reporting through to operational handover.
  • Manage the expectations of diverse stakeholders – project, operations, and corporate finance – ensuring clear and timely communication of financial matters.
  • Support the transition of projects from construction phase to operational finance as hospitals go live, ensuring continuity of financial controls.
  • Prepare and process intercompany billing and backcharges relating to project costs and cross-entity arrangements, among other project-related administrative duties as required.
  • Prepare periodic cost and financial reports for the CFO and project leadership.
  • Ensure adequate financial controls and governance are in place and adhered to across assigned projects.
  • Actively participate in developing and fine-tuning Group policies and procedures to ensure proper internal control and compliance with rules and regulations.
  • To undertake any assignments and projects when required from the CFO.


Education

  • Professionally qualified accountant (ACCA / CPA / CIMA or equivalent).
  • 10 years and above of relevant working experience, including finance business partnering with exposure to both construction/capital-project and operational finance.
  • Experience with Big 4 accounting firms preferred.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry, working knowledge of Oracle Fusion, and an MBA would be an added advantage.
