Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior SAP AMS Consultant with strong functional knowledge in both SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) and Materials Management (MM) modules to support regional AMS operations. The consultant will be responsible for handling incidents, service requests, change requests, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities for multiple AMS clients across various industries.
The ideal candidate should have solid AMS support experience, strong troubleshooting capability, and the ability to work directly with customers in a fast-paced regional support environment.
Key Responsibilities:
AMS Support & Ticket Management
- Provide Level 2 / Level 3 functional support for SAP SD and MM modules.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents within agreed SLA timelines.
- Perform impact analysis, root cause analysis (RCA), and propose appropriate solutions or workarounds.
- Handle configuration changes, enhancements, and support-related activities within AMS scope.
- Coordinate with technical consultants, BASIS, ABAP, integration, and other functional teams when required.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding issue status, solutions, risks, and timelines.
- Support effort estimation and provide input for change requests and enhancement activities.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction through professional support and timely communication.
Incident, Service Request, Problem & Change Management
- Support incident management, service request management, problem management, and change management processes.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend process or system improvements.
- Escalate critical issues appropriately and coordinate resolution activities across teams.
- Ensure all support activities and resolutions are properly documented.
Documentation & Knowledge Management
- Prepare and maintain functional documentation, test evidence, RCA reports, and knowledge base articles.
- Contribute to AMS process improvement and operational standardization initiatives.
- Support Knowledge Transfer (KT) sessions and provide functional knowledge sharing to internal AMS teams when required.
Continuous Improvement
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and support quality, including proposing system enhancements, process improvements, and potential small change requests (CRs) that add business value to customers.
- Support testing and validation activities for system changes and enhancements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of SAP functional experience, including strong hands-on experience in both SAP SD and SAP MM modules.
- Minimum 3 years of AMS / application support experience in a managed services environment.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) business processes.
- Strong advantage for candidates experienced in complex Make-to-Order (MTO) environments, Variant Configuration, and multi-channel operations within the retail industry.
- Experience supporting SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Experience in SAP integration points with FI, WM, EWM, PP, or external systems.
- Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
- Familiarity with ITSM / ticketing tools such as Jira, Solman, ServiceNow or equivalent.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and AMS governance practices is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tickets and priorities in a regional or multi-country AMS clients.
- Experience working with cross-functional and technical teams.
- SAP certification in SD or MM is an added advantage.
Pay: RM15,000.00 - RM22,000.00 per month
