Job Description

  • Manage and support the day-to-day IT operations of the hotel.
  • Provide technical support to associates for hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, printers, telephones, and other IT equipment.
  • Monitor the hotel’s network, servers, systems, and IT infrastructure to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist with the administration and maintenance of hotel systems, including PMS, POS, HR systems, and other business applications.
  • Manage user accounts, access rights, passwords, and IT security requirements.
  • Perform regular system backups and assist with data recovery when required.
  • Coordinate with external IT vendors and service providers for maintenance, troubleshooting, and system support.
  • Maintain proper records of IT assets, equipment, software licences, and maintenance activities.
  • Assist in IT projects, system upgrades, installations, and new technology implementations.
  • Ensure IT systems comply with the hotel’s policies, security standards, and operational requirements.
  • Provide basic IT training and guidance to associates when required.
  • Respond promptly to IT incidents and ensure issues are resolved within the required timeframe.
  • Perform other IT-related duties as assigned by the IT Manager or Management.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant IT experience, preferably in the hotel or hospitality industry.
  • Good knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and basic network administration.
  • Knowledge of hotel systems such as PMS, POS, HR systems, and other hospitality applications will be an advantage.
  • Good understanding of IT security, user access management, and data backup procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Customer-service oriented with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays when required.
  • Good command of English; additional languages will be an advantage.

Pay: From RM42,000.00 per year
