About the Role
We are looking for adetail-oriented and organised
Accounting Officer
to join our Finance& Accounting team. The successful candidate will support the AccountManager in managing accounting activities for our Singapore office and overseassubsidiaries.
This role involves hands-onaccounting work across
Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bookkeeping,financial reporting, payroll, CPF, GST, IRAS matters, employee claims, andpayment administration
. The ideal candidate should be comfortable managingmultiple entities and working with colleagues and stakeholders across differentcountries.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping
Support the Account Manager in managing the full set of accounts for the Group's Singapore entities and overseas subsidiaries.
Handle
Accounts Payable (AP)
and
Accounts Receivable (AR)
.
Perform bookkeeping and maintain accurate accounting records for offices across various countries.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities and prepare accounts for the Singapore office and overseas entities related to Singapore.
Prepare and maintain account schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
Ensure accounting transactions are accurately recorded and properly supported.
Payments & Purchasing
Regulate and monitor company purchases in accordance with internal procedures.
Verify invoices, supporting documents, and payment requests before processing.
Process and monitor local and overseas payments as required.
Monitor and record payments relating to agent commissions.
Payroll & Statutory Matters
Assist with payroll-related matters and ensure accurate processing of employee salary information.
Handle matters relating to
CPF, GST, IRAS
, and other applicable statutory requirements.
Support the preparation and submission of relevant financial and statutory documentation.
Employee Claims &Administrative Support
Process and verify employee expense claims, travel claims, and other reimbursements.
Ensure claims are properly supported by receipts and relevant documentation.
Maintain accurate records of employee-related financial transactions.
Provide general accounting and administrative support to the Finance & Accounting team.
Other Responsibilities
Coordinate with internal departments, overseas offices, vendors, banks, auditors, and other external parties when required.
Assist with audits, financial reporting, and other accounting-related projects.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department or Management.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
Good understanding of bookkeeping, AP, AR, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Familiarity with
Singapore accounting and statutory requirements
, including CPF, GST, and IRAS matters.
Proficient in
Microsoft Office
, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Experience with accounting software or ERP systems will be an advantage.
Good numerical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
Highly organised with good record-keeping and documentation skills.
Able to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and entities simultaneously.
Able to work independently while also collaborating effectively with the wider team.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
High level of accuracy, integrity, and accountability when handling financial information.
