About the Role:

The Software Engineer in our company will build the core digital engine powering our next-generation Insurtech solution. You will own end-to-end service delivery for critical workflows—including real-time automated policy issuance, algorithmic underwriting, dynamic risk assessment, and claims automation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js, TypeScript and NestJS
• Work closely with Application Architects to understand business requirements, system architecture and technical designs, and translate them into high-quality implementations
• Independently handle software development tasks and take ownership of assigned features and modules across both backend and frontend
• Design and work with relational databases, including database schemas, queries and data models
• Investigate and resolve application issues across development, UAT and production environments
• Maintain appropriate technical documentation
• Work with Docker, CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based application environments
• Perform Ad-hoc project as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in backend, frontend or full-stack software development
• Experience with Node.js and a modern frontend framework such as React, Next.js, Vue.js or Angular
• Good understanding of RESTful APIs and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Good problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse technical issues and develop appropriate solutions
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with a good command of written and spoken English
• Strong sense of responsibility and ownership towards assigned tasks and project deliverables
