Yeo Workshop is a contemporary art gallery based in Singapore’s Gillman Barracks, dedicated to showcasing Southeast Asian artists who push the boundaries of visual culture. From traditional painting and sculpture to cutting-edge digital media like CGI and AI, the gallery fosters a bold and diverse program that engages with pressing socio-cultural issues, encouraging critical dialogue and fresh perspectives. We are currently looking for a proactive Creative Design intern to join our gallery and assist us with our various projects, programmes and exhibitions starting in Dec 2026, for a minimum period of 3 months. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in communications, design, gallery operations, exhibitions and events. Interns are encouraged to develop a personal area of interest during their time with us and work toward a significant project or goal, with guidance from the gallery team.

Main activities / Responsibilities:

Design & Communications

• Design visually compelling decks, invites, posters and promotional materials
• Maintenance and regular updating of all communication channels including our Website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Youtube, etc
• Managing all external forms of communications e.g. our mailer/ e-newsletter
• Assisting with and/or leading Social Media marketing campaigns
• Assisting and preparing sales pitches for collectors and clients

Operations

• Opening/closing the gallery and manage daily operational tasks (shared responsibility)
• Keeping the gallery is well-organised, clean and visitor ready
• Filing of documents and keeping organised records
• Assisting with handling artworks
• Supporting gallery exhibitions including installation, de-installation and the curatorial process
• Welcoming guests and conducting tours for visitors, tourists, and student groups

Programmes & Events

• Assisting with event logistics and coordination
• Provide on-site support during events, including guest reception and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with the team to create event schedules.
• Preparing logistics for talks, lectures, dinners etc (shared responsibility)
• Managing technical processes and equipment (shared responsibility)

Requirements

• Graphic design skills (proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.)
• Bonus: Skills in photography, videography, photo / video editing, or social media content creation
• Have or working towards a degree in Design & Communications / Media / Visual Arts / Arts Management
• Able to work at least 1 day during weekend
• Tech-savvy and open to learning new tools and software
• Familiar with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
• Proficient in English (written and spoken)
