BUCG-CCCL Joint Venture Hiring! Full Time Accountant in Hong Kong - Ricebowl

Responsibilities:

• Handle the full set of accounting for a Hong Kong entity, including month-end and year-end closing, and prepare management accounts and statutory financial statements in compliance with HKAS and the Companies Ordinance (Cap 622);

• Follow up on project revenue recognition, contract billing, variation orders, subcontractor reconciliation, and project cost accumulation; conduct project profit and loss analysis and budget variance analysis;

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable: review payments to subcontractors and suppliers, reconcile construction progress billings with customers, and follow up on invoicing;

• Handle Hong Kong profits tax filing and liaise with external auditors for the annual statutory audit;

• Perform bank reconciliation, cash ledger maintenance, and inter-company reconciliation; support the mainland group finance team with consolidation information;

• Handle project documents and financial records;

• Perform other ad-hoc finance tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• 
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance or related discipline;

• Must have hands-on accounting experience in Hong Kong construction / contracting industry, familiar with project contract accounting.

• HKICPA, ACCA or CPA Australia qualification is acceptable.

• Good knowledge of Hong Kong tax and statutory compliance, understand accounting treatment for subcontracting, variation orders and progress billing.

• Fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin, good written English. Advanced MS Excel skills; experience in UFIDA accounting software is preferred.

• Able to perform full set of accounts independently, manage multiple projects in parallel, meticulous and detail-oriented.
