Position: Senior Network Engineer – Data Centre

• Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
• Contract: 1-Year Renewable Contract
• Salary: Up to RM 8,000 – RM 12,000 per month
• Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant experience
• Eligibility: Open to Malaysian candidates and expatriates currently residing in Malaysia

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer – Data Centre with strong expertise in Routing & Switching, Cisco Catalyst, Cisco Nexus, Wireless Networking and VMware NSX. The successful candidate will be responsible for network deployment, implementation, troubleshooting and support within enterprise data centre environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure and maintain Data Centre network infrastructure.
• Manage enterprise Routing & Switching (R&S) environments with strong hands-on expertise.
• Configure and support Cisco Catalyst and Nexus platforms.
• Implement and manage data centre switching and network connectivity.
• Support VMware NSX, Distributed Firewall (DFW) and firewall environments.
• Perform network troubleshooting, performance monitoring and issue resolution.
• Support wireless network deployment and operations.
• Work with infrastructure and security teams to ensure network availability and security.
• Support network implementation, upgrades, migrations and optimization activities.
• Provide technical support for firewall and load-balancer environments.

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 7 years of expert-level experience in Routing & Switching.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst and Cisco Nexus.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on Wireless Networking experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with VMware NSX / DFW / Firewall.
• Strong understanding of Data Centre networking and enterprise infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience in R&S and Nexus deployment/implementation.
• Fair knowledge of Firewalls and Load Balancers.
• Conceptual understanding/exposure to:
• DNS
• SD-WAN
