About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join our finance and accounting department as an Internship Account/Finance professional. This is a full-time internship opportunity based in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, designed to provide practical exposure to the accounting and finance functions within a dynamic automotive business. You will work alongside experienced accounting professionals, gaining hands-on experience in financial operations, bookkeeping, and accounting processes that support our business objectives. This role offers an excellent foundation for those pursuing a career in accounting and finance within the automotive sector.

Key responsibilities

1. Assisting with the preparation and processing of financial documents, invoices, and expense reports

2. Supporting the reconciliation of accounts and bank statements

3. Recording financial transactions in the accounting system with accuracy and attention to detail

4. Assisting with payroll administration and employee expense management

5. Supporting the preparation of financial reports and statements under supervision

6. Maintaining and organising financial records in compliance with company procedures

7. Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

8. Supporting the audit and compliance processes as required

9. Performing general administrative duties to support the accounting department

What we're looking for

1. Currently pursuing a qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

2. Strong numerical and analytical abilities with excellent attention to detail

3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software (exposure to accounting systems is advantageous)

4. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment

5. Organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently

6. Willingness to learn and develop accounting knowledge and practices

7. Punctuality and professional demeanour

8. Basic understanding of bookkeeping and general accounting principles
