Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cloud Engineer role based in WP Kuala Lumpur. The Cloud Engineer will design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions to support enterprise applications and services. Responsibilities include configuring and managing cloud environments, monitoring performance, optimizing resource usage, and ensuring high availability and security. The role involves collaborating with software development and infrastructure teams to automate deployments, manage CI/CD pipelines, and improve system reliability. The Cloud Engineer will also troubleshoot issues, document technical solutions, and contribute to best practices for cloud governance and operations.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Cloud Computing skills, including experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud architecture best practices.
• Candidates should possess Infrastructure skills such as networking fundamentals, virtualization, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and system administration.
• Candidates should possess Linux skills, including shell scripting, performance tuning, and security hardening in production environments.
• Candidates should possess Databases skills, including experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, performance optimization, and backup/restore strategies.
• Candidates should possess Software Development skills, including proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, Go) and familiarity with CI/CD tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and automation frameworks is highly beneficial.
• Knowledge of security best practices, compliance standards, and monitoring tools for cloud environments is an advantage.
