Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Plan, coordinate and supervise tank maintenance activities from mobilization through completion.
-Develop work schedules, manpower requirements, equipment requirements and material planning.
-Ensure maintenance activities are executed according to approved project schedules, specifications, and procedures.
- Coordinate maintenance and repair works for storage tanks, including surface preparation, abrasive blasting, painting/coating, internal/external inspection, steel repair, welding, scaffolding and tank accessories.
-Review inspection findings and coordinate necessary repair or rectification works.
-Ensure work is carried out in accordance with applicable engineering standards, client specifications and approved procedures.
-Review drawings, specifications, method statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), risk assessments and technical documentation.
-Provide technical support and resolve engineering issues encountered during project execution.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, inspectors, subcontractors and other disciplines.
-Monitor daily site activities and ensure work is performed safely, efficiently and according to approved procedures.
- Supervise subcontractors and workforce to ensure productivity and quality requirements are achieved.
- Conduct daily coordination meetings and monitor work progress.
-Ensure maintenance works comply with project specifications and applicable standards such as API 653, API 650, NACE/AMPP, SSPC, and client requirements, where applicable.
-Coordinate inspection activities, including coating inspection, DFT measurement, holiday testing, visual inspection, welding inspection and other required NDT.
-Follow up on NCRs, punch-list items and corrective actions.
-Ensure all activities comply with company and client Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) requirements.
-Ensure proper implementation of PTW, JSA/RA, toolbox meetings, confined-space requirements, gas testing and other safety controls.
-Stop unsafe work and take appropriate corrective action when required.
- Monitor project manpower, equipment, material consumption and overall project costs.
- Prepare quantity measurements, progress claims, variation orders and supporting documentation.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and verify completed work quantities.
-Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports.
- Track planned versus actual progress and identify potential delays.
- Develop recovery plans and coordinate resources to maintain project schedule.
-Ensure proper compilation and submission of project documentation, including inspection records, test reports, material certificates, work completion records, punch lists and as-built documentation.
- Coordinate final inspection, mechanical completion, handover and project close-out activities
