Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor project progress and ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction activities and ensure compliance with technical and safety requirements.
- Coordinate and resolve technical issues, discrepancies, and site problems in collaboration with consultants and project stakeholders.
- Prepare, review, and maintain project documentation, including technical reports, inspection records, method statements, and site reports.
- Assist in preparing project schedules, monitoring progress, and identifying potential delays or technical issues.
- Review material submissions, shop drawings, technical submissions, and other project-related documents.
- Coordinate testing, inspection, and approval of construction materials and completed works.
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure works and materials are delivered according to project requirements.
- Participate in project meetings, site meetings, and technical discussions with clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Monitor project costs, resources, materials, and manpower to support efficient project execution.
- Ensure all engineering and construction activities comply with applicable standards, specifications, regulations, and company procedures.
- Assist the Project Manager in the overall planning, coordination, and successful completion of projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Proven experience as a Project Engineer in construction or Design & Build projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, engineering principles, materials, and site practices.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Experience in coordinating with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
- Good knowledge of project planning, scheduling, site coordination, and progress monitoring.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or other project management software is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Willingness to travel or work at project sites as required.
- Professional engineering certification or relevant construction-related certifications will be an added advantage.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
