The Receiving Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all incoming goods, ensuring proper documentation, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of storage areas, and training Receiving Assistants. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring inventory accuracy, quality control, and operational efficiency at Pasar Besar.
Key Responsibilities:
- Check and receive quantity stock according to purchase order and supplier invoice
- Inspect correct contents to ensure no damage and expiry date of the products
- Coordinate with the Merchandising and Operations teams regarding stock discrepancies, damaged goods, and returns
- To endorse goods receive note and ensure accurate data key in into system accordingly
- Ensure all receiving records, delivery notes, and discrepancy reports are accurately maintained.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on received goods, stock variances, and supplier performance.
- Monitor and report slow-moving, near-expiry, or overstocked items to relevant departments
- Maintain proper storage and organization of received items to ensure safety and accessibility.
- Oversee the implementation of FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) stock rotation methods.
- Ensure all storage areas, cold rooms, and dry storage areas are kept clean, pest-free, and well-maintained.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and company policies in all receiving and storage operations.
- Implement safety guidelines for handling perishable and fragile items.
- Conduct routine checks to ensure all storage equipment (e.g., freezers, chillers, racks) is functioning properly.
- Train and guide Receiving Assistants on correct receiving procedures, documentation, and safety practices.
- Assign daily tasks and monitor the performance of the Receiving team.
- Conduct periodic refresher training on proper handling of goods, stock management, and safety regulations.
- To perform any other duties in general operational functions and ad-hoc assignments
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum 1 – 2 years of experience in a warehouse, receiving, or logistics role, preferably in a retail or F&B environment.
- Have knowledge of inventory management, receiving procedures, and stock control.
- Ability to lead and train a team effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with POS and inventory management systems.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to handle pressure during high turnover of supplier deliveries.
Basic salary:
RM2,300 - RM2,500 (based on experience)

Pasar Besar, Central Market (Pasar Seni)
Pay: RM2,300.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
