Job Description

Responsibilities

Summary / Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Executive, Group Human Resources is responsible for managing payroll operations, employee benefits administration, HR reporting, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. The role also serves as the primary HR liaison with the Company's shareholder, coordinating HR-related information, reports, and communication to support business objectives and stakeholder engagement.


Functions / Duties:

Payroll Administration

  • Manage the end-to-end monthly payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate salary payments.
  • Verify payroll inputs, including new hires, resignations, salary adjustments, allowances, overtime, incentives, and deductions.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, and other relevant employment regulations.
  • Liaise with payroll vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve payroll-related matters.


Employee Benefits Administration

  • Administer employee benefits, including medical and insurance coverage, leave administration, and other company benefit programmes.
  • Coordinate employee enrolment, claims, and benefit-related enquiries.
  • Review and recommend improvements to employee benefits to enhance employee experience and market competitiveness.


HR Reporting & Analytics

  • Prepare monthly and ad hoc HR reports, including payroll analysis, headcount reports, manpower statistics, and HR metrics.
  • Ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of HR data and records.
  • Support management with HR analytics and reports for decision-making.
  • Shareholder Liaison
  • Act as the primary HR contact for the Company's shareholder (mandarin speaking) on payroll, benefits, manpower, and HR administration matters.
  • Prepare and coordinate HR reports, presentations, and documentation required by the shareholder.
  • Facilitate effective communication and follow up on HR-related requests between the shareholder and internal stakeholders.
  • Support meetings, audits, and reporting requirements involving the shareholder.


Knowledge / Experience / Skills / Competency required:

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll and HR operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian Employment Act, payroll administration, and statutory requirements (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB).
  • Exposure in Employee Self Service Management & SAP HR system are added advantages.
  • A team player, results oriented as well as able to handle multiple tasks and tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and HRIS/payroll systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
  • Experience working with multinational organisations or Mandarin stakeholders will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent command of English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin both oral and written.
