Summary
Leads HVAC engineering activities for marine and offshore Hull, LQ & E-house, ensuring technical integrity, vendor performance, and timely project delivery. Acts as discipline focal point for assigned packages & calculation, ducting layout, etc.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design, specification, and selection of HVAC equipment packages.
- Lead HVAC heat load calculation, air flow calculation, ducting pressure loss calculation, ducting layout, etc.
- Take ownership of critical packages (e.g., air conditioning unit, ventilation fans, air handling unit, provision refrigeration plant).
- Review and approval of datasheets, specifications, engineering deliverables, vendor documents and deviations.
- Lead technical bid evaluations and vendor clarifications.
- Act as technical authority during FAT, SAT, and commissioning.
- Manage interfaces across disciplines and packages.
- Perform advanced trouble shooting and root cause analysis.
- Ensure compliance with project, client, and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in HVAC Engineering.
- More than 10 years' experience (min. 5 years in FPSO/offshore projects).
- Strong expertise in: ISO Standards | ASME Standards | Vibration, and reliability | IACS Class rule | IMO Regulations
- Works independently with minimal supervision.
- Makes key technical decisions within assigned scope.
- Recognized as discipline specialist within project team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
