About the Job

Great Eastern is advancing how customer data, MarTech and AI come together to drive more relevant customer engagement and better business outcomes across our markets. Salesforce is an important part of this ecosystem, with Data Cloud enabling customer data to be connected, resolved and activated across marketing, digital and various customer engagement channels.

As Lead, Regional Data Cloud, you will shape how this capability scales across the region. You will bring together business, data and technology perspectives to ensure Data Cloud evolves as a well-governed, reusable and commercially effective capability across markets and entities. You will lead a specialist regional team and play a key role in shaping how one of our core MarTech capabilities develops as its adoption and range of use cases continue to grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the regional Salesforce Data Cloud roadmap and capability priorities, translating business demand across markets and entities into a clear portfolio of use cases.

  • Establish the governance framework for how customer data is used within Data Cloud, covering data quality, identity resolution, consent, audience approval and activation.

  • Prioritise use cases based on customer and business value, data readiness, delivery complexity, risk, cost and platform consumption, with clear measures of success.

  • Run the regional Data Cloud shared service, including demand intake, service levels, decision rights and the division of responsibilities across the regional CoE, markets and entities.

  • Partner closely with Group IT and Group Data & AI to align the Salesforce data layer with enterprise data platforms, pipelines, governance and customer data capabilities.

  • Govern Data Cloud consumption and cost, including credit usage, ingestion volumes and processing frequency, ensuring new data sources and use cases are commercially sustainable.

  • Oversee platform risk and controls, including access and segregation of duties, change management, audit requirements and incident management.

  • Manage Salesforce and implementation partners against agreed delivery, service, documentation and knowledge-transfer outcomes.

  • Build and develop the internal expertise required to operate and evolve the capability over time.

We are looking for people who

  • Have led an enterprise customer data platform or Salesforce Data Cloud capability and can demonstrate the customer, commercial or operational outcomes it delivered.

  • Bring strong Salesforce Data Cloud knowledge across data modelling, identity resolution, calculated insights, segmentation, activation and integration with Marketing Cloud and other destinations.

  • Have experience establishing or running regional or shared capabilities across multiple markets, entities or business units, balancing common standards and reuse with legitimate local requirements.

  • Bring strong judgement across customer data governance, privacy, risk and controls and can work credibly with Risk, Compliance, Legal and Technology teams.

  • Understand Data Cloud consumption and cost and can make disciplined decisions about where platform investment creates sufficient value.

  • Can lead specialist teams, manage technology and implementation partners and build sustainable internal capability.

  • Communicate complex data and technology matters clearly to senior business and technical stakeholders.

  • Have typically 10+ years of relevant experience across customer data, CRM, customer data platforms, marketing technology or analytics, with meaningful experience leading teams, platforms or regional capabilities, and hold a degree in a relevant discipline.

  • Relevant Salesforce Data Cloud or Salesforce architecture certifications, and experience in insurance or broader financial services, will be advantageous.

How you succeed

  • Demonstrate high level of integrity and accountability.
  • Take initiative to drive improvements and embrace change.
  • Take accountability of business and regulatory compliance risks, implementing measures to mitigate them effectively.
