Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Procurement Executive to join OSC Orthopaedic Specialist Center in Subang Jaya, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in managing procurement operations and supply chain management for our healthcare facility. As a Senior Procurement Executive, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality medical equipment, supplies, and services essential to the hospital operations. This role is integral to supporting our mission of delivering excellent patient care by maintaining optimal inventory levels and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost-effectiveness whilst maintaining quality standards for medical equipment and supplies
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to achieve competitive pricing and favorable terms
- Manage the full procurement lifecycle, including requisition processing, purchase order generation, and delivery tracking
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with key suppliers and healthcare vendors
- Monitor supplier performance metrics and address any quality or delivery issues promptly
- Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to understand procurement requirements and specifications
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with healthcare regulations, standards, and company policies
- Prepare and present procurement reports to senior management, highlighting cost savings and operational efficiencies
- Lead procurement initiatives to reduce waste and improve supply chain efficiency
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of procurement experience, preferably within a healthcare, medical, or hospital setting
- Proven track record in supplier negotiation and contract management
- Strong knowledge of medical equipment, orthopaedic supplies, and healthcare procurement standards
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Proficiency in procurement systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams and external suppliers
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation and record-keeping
- Knowledge of healthcare compliance requirements and regulations is highly desirable
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field is preferred
