Major Functions:

Responsible for overseeing the design and development of system integration & packaging related engineering projects from concept to completion, after-sales & maintenance. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, and ensuring the successful implementation of engineering solutions. The Project & Design Engineer will also be responsible for conducting analyses, preparing technical documentation, providing technical expertise, and performing various project-related tasks to support the successful execution of projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Review tender documents, prepare cost estimates for projects, and assist in vendor selection.

• Plan, schedule, and monitor projects while managing budgets.

• Create mechanical fabrication drawings and design calculations.

• Procure materials and equipment by preparing material take-offs and purchase requisitions.

• Monitor project schedules to ensure timely progress and adherence to timelines.

• Implement all policies, activities, procedures, and instructions as relevant and required by the Quality System to ensure high-quality project outcomes.

• Knowledge of ASME, ANSI, ASTM piping, and relevant standards.

• Familiarity with hydraulic & pneumatic systems (pumps, accumulators, etc.).

• Responsible for executing the works according to the latest approved revision of drawings and /or instruction of Government authorized authorities (e.g., DOSH).

• Engage in running FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) processes to ensure equipment meets project requirements.

• Follow up and close Service Requests (SR) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) raised by client representatives to maintain project quality standards.

• Maintain database & reports.

• Report on the department’s performance for management review and purpose.

• Undertake any ad‐hoc admin duties/responsibilities as and when required.

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma/ Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/ Professional Degree in Engineering (Industrial), Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Metal Fabrication/Tool & Die/Welding), Engineering (Others) or equivalent.

• Required language (s): English, Bahasa Malaysia.

• Preferable with relevant experience in fabrication/metal works industries.

• Computer skills: Solidworks / AutoCAD, Microsoft Office

• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to travel as and when required.

• Good Organisational and Project Management abilities.
