Job Description: What’s the role The Well Reservoir Facilities Management (WRFM) delivery engine in Shell plays a vital role in maximizing end-to-end asset value. It does this by integrating expertise and resources across wells, reservoirs, and production systems to identify and execute optimization opportunities and necessary interventions. Effective WRFM delivery requires focused efforts in well integrity, surveillance and optimization, well interventions, and facilities debottlenecking - ensuring sustained value creation throughout the asset life cycle. The Tech Specialist - WRFM position reports to the Senior Team Lead - WRFM Factory (WRFM-ROW vertical) within the Subsurface & WRFM (SSW) team under Technical Asset Support (TAS). In this role, you will be part of the WRFM Factory, which is responsible for deploying standardized WRFM workflows across Shell's global asset portfolio. The team supports Shell's ambition to deliver routine WRFM efficiently while freeing up asset experts to focus on higher-complexity challenges and closing gaps to potential performance.

What you’ll be doing

Execute the deployment of WRFM Factory workflows and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in line with the agreed Terms of Reference and Factory Implementation Plan. Collaborate closely with asset WRFM Factory focals and identify opportunities to scale successful practices across key global assets. Deliver high-quality outputs across core SOPs—including, but not limited to, Well Integrity (WI), Exception-Base Surveillance (EBS), Opportunity Identification (OI), and Integrated Production System Modelling (IPSM). This requires proactive collaboration with multidisciplinary Asset teams such as Production Technology, Wells Intervention/Engineering, Process Engineering, Production Operations, Reservoir Engineering, and Production Chemistry. Manage well integrity for assigned wells by ensuring that surveillance and maintenance of Safety Critical Elements are completed in accordance with Group and local standards. Identify and drive performance improvement initiatives that elevate WRFM Factory delivery to top-quartile performance, with a strong focus on standardization and best-practice replication. Operate independently as the single point of accountability interfacing with asset WRFM Factory stakeholders. Lead functional improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing WRFM Factory processes, tools, and execution quality. Contribute as a TAS SSW XLT member, demonstrating leadership without direct reports and influencing cross-functional outcomes.

What you bring
  • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in Petroleum Engineering, with strong exposure to well and reservoir management as well as well intervention design.
  • Proven capability to independently execute at least two WRFM Factory workflows, such as Well Integrity (WI), Exception-Base Surveillance (EBS), Opportunity Identification (OI) or Integrated Production System Modelling (IPSM), with solid working knowledge of the remaining workflows.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data analytics and technical analysis, supported by strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to provide constructive challenge and support across disciplines.
  • Proven ability to act as the single point of accountability when engaging with asset teams, and to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of risks and technical considerations related to subsurface, wells, and surface facility development opportunities.
  • Experience working within large, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams, coordinating activities and driving aligned outcomes.
  • Sound knowledge of integrated gas systems, gas contracts, and related gas field planning requirements.
  • Track record of disciplined delivery, demonstrating strong planning, organized execution, thorough documentation, and effective follow-up.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to lead without direct reports and act as a role model within the TAS SSW XLT.
  • Commitment to promoting cross-workflow and cross-asset learnings, supporting the ongoing development of WRFM Factory capability.
