PROJECT MANAGER

JOB PURPOSE

To manage and coordinate renovation, kitchen cabinet and interior projects from project confirmation through to final handover, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, according to approved specifications and with the required quality standards.

The Project Manager will act as the main coordinator between clients, designers, sales team, factory, suppliers, installers and subcontractors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Project Planning & Coordination

* Manage projects from confirmation until completion and handover.

* Prepare project schedules, timelines and installation plans.

* Coordinate project activities between sales, design, production, purchasing, delivery and installation teams.

* Monitor project progress and ensure all milestones are achieved.

* Identify potential delays and resolve issues proactively.

2. Site Management

* Conduct site visits and coordinate site measurements where required.

* Check site conditions, dimensions, electrical points, plumbing, walls, flooring and other relevant conditions.

* Coordinate with contractors and site workers.

* Ensure installation work follows approved drawings and specifications.

* Monitor workmanship and site safety.

* Conduct site inspections before, during and after installation.

3. Production & Material Coordination

* Coordinate with the factory regarding production schedules and specifications.

* Ensure materials, colours, hardware, accessories and cabinet dimensions match approved drawings.

* Follow up on material availability and production status.

* Coordinate delivery schedules with the factory, warehouse and installation team.

* Minimise material wastage, damage and production errors.

4. Project Cost & Budget Control

* Monitor project costs against approved quotation/budget.

* Control additional costs, wastage, rework and unnecessary expenses.

* Identify variations and additional works before execution.

* Ensure all variation orders are properly documented and approved.

* Work closely with management to maintain project profitability.

5. Client Management

* Act as the main project contact after project confirmation.

* Provide clients with project updates and installation schedules.

* Attend site meetings when required.

* Handle client complaints and project issues professionally.

* Manage expectations regarding timeline, scope, materials and workmanship.

* Obtain client confirmation for changes and variations.

6. Installation Management

* Coordinate installers, subcontractors and other site workers.

* Ensure materials arrive before or according to the installation schedule.

* Monitor installation quality and productivity.

* Ensure installation follows approved drawings and company standards.

* Arrange rectification works where necessary.

* Coordinate final inspection and handover.

7. Quality Control

* Ensure completed work meets Arizzu Design quality standards.

* Check cabinet alignment, doors, drawers, finishing, hardware and accessories.

* Identify defects and coordinate rectification.

* Reduce installation errors, customer complaints and project rework.

* Maintain project quality checklist and completion records.

8. Documentation & Reporting

* Maintain updated project files, drawings, quotations, variation orders and site records.

* Prepare weekly project progress reports.

* Track project status, delays, outstanding items and rectification works.

* Maintain project handover documentation.

* Report major project issues and delays to management immediately.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)

* Project completion on time: ≥ 90%

* Installation defect/rework rate: Minimise and continuously improve

* Project gross margin: Maintain according to company target

* Customer complaints: Minimise

* Variation orders: Properly documented and approved

* Material wastage: Within company target

* Project handover: Completed with minimal outstanding defects

* Client satisfaction: Maintain high satisfaction level

* Production-to-installation coordination: Minimal delays

REQUIREMENTS

* Diploma/Degree in Interior Design, Construction, Project Management, Architecture or related field preferred.

* Minimum 3–5 years of experience in renovation, kitchen cabinet, interior fit-out or construction project management.

* Strong understanding of kitchen cabinet production and installation is an advantage.

* Able to read and understand technical drawings.

* Good knowledge of site coordination and construction processes.

* Good communication and negotiation skills.

* Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.

* Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

* Willing to travel to project sites.

* Possess a valid driving licence.

* Escalate project delays, defects and cost issues to management.

* Recommend solutions for project-related problems.

Any additional cost, variation, discount or scope change must follow the company’s approval procedure.

SUCCESS PROFILE

The successful candidate should be a hands-on Project Manager who can manage the entire project lifecycle, communicate effectively with clients and workers, solve site problems quickly and ensure every project is delivered on time, within budget and to Arizzu Design’s quality standards.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
