Job Summary

We are looking for a licensed Boilerman (Grade 1 or Grade 2) to operate and monitor our 30-tonne industrial steam boiler in our food manufacturing plant.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the boiler system, ensuring a stable steam supply for production while complying with DOSH/JKKP requirements and company safety procedures.

Candidates with experience operating 20-tonne and above industrial boilers, especially 30-tonne boilers, are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the 30-tonne industrial steam boiler safely and efficiently.
• Monitor boiler pressure, temperature, water level, steam output, fuel consumption and other operating parameters.
• Perform proper boiler start-up, shutdown, blowdown and emergency procedures.
• Conduct routine inspections and basic troubleshooting of boiler equipment and related systems.
• Carry out routine and preventive maintenance activities as required.
• Maintain accurate boiler logbooks, operating records and inspection records.
• Identify and report abnormal boiler conditions, equipment faults or safety issues promptly.
• Ensure continuous and stable steam supply to the production department.
• Maintain the boiler room in a clean, safe and orderly condition.
• Ensure compliance with DOSH/JKKP regulations, statutory requirements, SOPs and safety procedures.
• Assist during DOSH/JKKP inspections, testing and servicing activities.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team and external contractors for major servicing and repairs.
• Work closely with the production and engineering teams to ensure reliable boiler operation.
• Perform other duties related to boiler and utility operations as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid DOSH/JKKP-recognized Steam Boiler Operator Certificate – Grade 1 or Grade 2. Grade 1 candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant industrial steam boiler operating experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of boiler operation, safety procedures, troubleshooting and basic maintenance.
• Experience operating large-capacity industrial steam boilers is highly preferred.
• Experience in a food manufacturing or continuous-production environment is an added advantage.
• Experience operating 30-tonne or larger steam boilers is an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of boiler operation, safety procedures, troubleshooting and basic maintenance.
• Familiar with boiler start-up, shutdown, blowdown, pressure and water-level monitoring, and emergency procedures.
• Able to work independently and respond appropriately to abnormal or emergency situations.
• Willing to work on a rotating shift schedule.
• Responsible, safety-conscious and disciplined.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
